Mr. and Miss Pageant, is one of the best platforms to pick the best youth representative and to shine for the youth. It is such platforms which enable one to enhance abilities. It brings young aspirants together to not only compete, but also to serve. It helps showcase their talents, build confidence and face the public. It unites communities in friendly competition despite politics and language barriers. To win is great prestige as well as responsibility. It not only earns fame and popularity but also becomes a public personality. Participating in beauty pageants is an achievement in itself.
With hope that the youth be engaged in social work to uplift the underprivileged and marginalised to help bring about a change in society and the state and also in promoting the local talents and aspirants, by providing a better platform with the idea to create space for overall pageantry personality development among the contestants, the search for the next Mr Arunachal and Miss NEFA Arunachal was organised with the motto of “Think globally, Act locally.” The event will commence in a couple of months, with zonal auditions in different districts of the state that will finally culminate with the grand finale of both the pageants in the month of October.
With the expectation to grow larger in terms of scale and outreach, the organisation intends to reach out to as many youths as possible. Completing two previous editions successfully and having collaborated with Miss India Organisation in conducting the orientation and screening program in Itanagar for this year’s Miss India pageant, the organisers are positive and looking forward to the support of Miss India Organization’s in terms of talent management and scouting for this year’s event.
To prep up the contestants, ten days long grooming classes will be conducted like each year, to develop overall personality of the candidates. Opang Jamir of Nagaland, Mr. International India, 2012, Mr Earth India 2011 and a Lakme Fashion Week model, who was also the grooming guru of the first edition of Mr Arunachal, will be joining this year’s edition as the grooming guru for Mr Arunachal and Chow Poran J. Gogoi from Assam, the renowned choreographer of Northeast India will be the grooming guru for Miss NEFA Arunachal 2018. This year will also see Fitness expert joining as Fitness trainer for all the candidates. To give a morale boost to the event, it will be graced by renowned personalities in the fashion industry as celebrity guests. The Times groups Femina Miss India & Mr India talent coordinator Mr Bennat Nathan has said that the grand finale judges will be Mr World India 2016 Vishnu Menon and Mr India Supranational 2016 Altamash Faraz.
The state being a far-flung location in the map of the country, the opportunities are far and few for the aspirants. The organizers are putting up small step higher of the event than the previous years, with the intention to bridge the gap and to achieve in healthier and bigger accomplishment.
