Uses: The fresh leaves are applied as dry fomentations on swellings. The dried bark of the roots is an excellent substitute for Ipecacunha, which is used in the treatment of dysentery. Milky juice is regarded as caustic and drastic purgative. It is used in toothache, fractures and dog bites.
